Job Summary:
The SAP Technology Lead will be responsible for managing the technical aspects of the multiple SAP landscapes that support the business units. Incumbent will be responsible for the existing Basis team and their performance. The Basis team is responsible for monitoring, performance management, installations and general trouble shooting. As required by the business units the Technology Lead will be required to manage the installation of new instances, implementation of upgrades and client copies and refreshes. As new projects begin the Technology Lead will be part of the project team and will be accountable for translating the project requirements into technical deliverables.
Scope:
The role includes: install and monitor SAP solutions; and proactively coordinate with other key SAP COE members to ensure successful SAP implementation and post-implementation support.
Responsibilities:
- Manage SAP Basis component, the underlying Oracle databases, and application software.
- Provide technical support and effective database/basis solutions to end-users and project team.
- Work closely with system administrators, data base administrators and Data Center Operations for troubleshooting of production issues
- Work with management personnel to develop database and client landscape strategies to support the organization’s needs
- Proactively monitor and assist in the support of the SAP Enterprise Architecture environments
- Train junior Production Support administrators using formal training material and hands-on mentoring
- Develop Standard operating procedures and other documentation to perform production support activities
- Ensure SAP service levels are met, and project objectives are accomplished within budget and deadline
- Recommend and implement third party SAP software solutions as required by business units and COE needs
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline with anIT focus is preferred
- Minimum seven years of in-depth support of SAP databases, network, and system performance configuration and tuning techniques
- 5 years UNIX (preferred AIX) experience in Production SAP environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft OS and web technologies
- Ability to work in a matrix environment
- Strong listening and influencing skills
- Ability to work within multiple business units and project teams
- Strong customer focus skills
- BASIS leadership experience in a large-scale SAP support environment with proven experience in a multiple landscape multi business environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams
- Ability to effectively manage a highly technical team that is virtually located
- Solid project management skills and team-oriented interpersonal skills
- Experience with ERP 2004 or greater, NW2004 or NW2004s. SRM/SCM/BI/PI(XI)

SAP PP Lead
SAP PP Lead (Dallas-Ft Worth)
Job Summary:
Our client is undergoing a significant business process transformation activity assisted
by the implementation of commercial off- the-shelf (COTs) solutions. The selected candidate for this position is expected to join the program and perform in a key functional advisory role supporting the design
and implementation of SAP’s production planning and production execution module in the ECC 6.0
environment.
Responsibilities:
The SAP PP Lead supports the implementation and configuration of SAP Production
Planning and Control (PP) module of SAP.
Job Responsibilities include the following:
Execute the planning, analysis, design, configuration, development, integration,
maintenance, system upgrades and enhancements associated with the implementation of PP module in SAP and the associated MES implementation (SAP CAMS).
Identify and evaluate processes, interfaces and conversion risks, and develop controls to
adequately mitigate the risks of the BSM implementation
Collaborate with the Security organization to incorporate adequate security controls into
overall design and configuration
Document the solution design and aid in development and delivery of end user training
Create test scripts and drive the integration/regression testing of the solution during the Bell
BSM implementation
Adhere to the various Bell BSM PMO guidelines and drive towards to achieving the required
BSM Project Milestones
Upon solution implementation, assist in stabilizing and transitioning to Bell IT SAP support
organization. Conduct knowledge transfer from consultants to current IT SAP support staff to
help support the solution
Support and sustain the implemented solution as part of the IT SAP support organization
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent
degree plan is required.
Position Requirements:
14 years total industry experience is required. Demonstrated functional expertise of SAP’s
PP and solid work experience with the integration with other SAP Modules (MM, SD, PS,
FI/CO), with a minimum 5-7 years SAP implementation experience.FI/CO), with a minimum 5-7 years SAP implementation experience.
Proven expertise and knowledge of SAP MRP, Capacity leveling, and scheduling is required.
Demonstrated experience of integration between SAP and Manufacturing Execution Systems
(MES) is required.
SAP experience, including product-unit effectivity (PUE) and grouping, pegging, & distribution
(GPD) is required.
Demonstrated success in customer facing roles and meeting customer expectations and delivery, excellent communication skills are required.
Ability to work well in a team environment is required.
Experience implementing SAP in a complex environment- CMMI. Six Sigma and Project Management experience are preferred.
