The role of the SAP Record to Report Process Lead is to provide and implement solution design throughout all phases of the process and application lifecycle. Successfully deliver business solutions in complex domestic and international environments, from business processes and data requirements definition, system design, go-lives’, and project management.
This person must come from a background where they have overseen a matrix organization of subject matter experts, not solely performed production support. The ideal candidate will provide financial and SAP subject matter expertise and be accountable for the business requirements gathering, best application configuration of a global template, and be responsible for ensuring that the solution design meets those business requirements.
The successful candidate will support a rigorous methodology that will enable multiple SAP program to retain compliance with the Global SAP Template for Record to Report while also supporting business initiatives and continuous improvement initiatives. The Record to Report Application Lead works closely with the business community and Business Process Leads to understand current processes, develop innovative solutions, prioritizes activities and troubleshoots application functionality.
Principal Duties:
· Responsible for the governance and maintenance of the global template.
· Leads direct reports, 3rd party organizations in configuration, development and testing of changes, and regional team members in requirements definition and implementation.

Responsible for coordinating business review and obtaining sign off on business requirements prior to beginning the next project phase. Responsible for ensuring that functional specifications are developed in the design phase of projects meet the business requirements outlined.
· Monitor projects throughout all phases to ensure compliance to design standards, global template and to ensure that the designed solution matches the business requirements, alerting project and IT leadership when there are potential disconnects.
· Responsible for ensuring that detailed project design maintains architectural design principles related to reusable services, common technology underpinnings, and strategic technical capabilities such as Services Oriented Architecture, Web Services, etc. Design must also maintain alignment to the architectural plan and roadmaps.
· Provide subject matter expertise to projects with regards to financial business processes. This expertise should be from a process perspective, and will cross multiple technologies.
Qualifications:
· Experience in implementing at least 3 large-scale or complex IT projects, preferably in a lead role.
· At least 5+ years of ERP financial applications experience including SAP Releases ECC6.0
· Functioned as lead application architect/consultant for financial applications for Fortune 500 companies
· Ability to develop clear and detailed business requirements and design specifications that can be understood by other consultants, including global partners.
· Ability to translate business requirements into design options that are cost effective, efficient, re-usable that comply with defined architectural principles and standards and that enhance the business process.
· Strong experience in process improvement, with an emphasis towards analytics and process management through Lean, and Six Sigma tools.

Summary:
