Position Purpose:
The SAP Architect is responsible for translating the business vision, strategy and goals into an actionable plan for the SAP technology landscape to support the creation of new and improved capabilities for the business in the future.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Responsible for the SAP technical strategy, guidelines and blueprints to effectively create and promote consistent infrastructure designs, architecture frameworks and linkage to processes, technology roadmaps and emerging technology trends. Responsible for central record keeping repository.
· Provide insight to the business (in partnership with Business Relationship Managers and CoEs) on emerging SAP technologies and trends that warrant consideration into the business strategy.
· Provide process governance, guidance and support Comprehensive Delivery Process (CDP) and Release Management.
· Educate and mentor technical staff in the areas of industry standards, best practices, emerging technologies and trends.
· Responsible for maintaining centralized documentation of agreed to technical standards, core architectural blueprints and roadmaps.
· Identify opportunities and deliver capabilities that allow for repeatability and reuse within the infrastructure design, deployment, and support of software-based solutions.
· Perform in a project management role, when necessary, to ensure the timely completion within budget for selected enterprise strategic efforts.
· Establish and maintain a professional and constructive rapport with executives, business partners, and colleagues. Must be capable of communicating technical issues, options and design alternatives within the context of business fundamentals, processes, options and issues.
· Act as a primary point of contact for SAP technical strategy, architecture, roadmaps and governance.
· Provides SAP architectural advice and design consulting during a project’s lifecycle.
· Develop and maintain policies, standards and best practices for all matters related to SAP Architecture.
· Drive collaboration with the technical teams toward commonly agreed standards and expectations.
· Responsible for the optimization of SAP business investments in technology and the solutions portfolio
· Ensures that SAP infrastructure designed solutions, services and processes follow corporate standards and guidelines
Preferable Qualifications & Experience:
· Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science/Information/Technology/Business Information Systems.
· 12+ years of related technical and business systems design experience with demonstrable strength in analysis, design and architecture. Managerial experience a plus.
· 10+ years of SAP experience is required with a focus on ECC (Order Management, Materials Management, FI-CA, C2C, Financials, WMS, and Business Warehouse), CRM, PI, and Solution Manager. Candidate must have a deep understanding of the SAP Architecture to ensure technical designs will meet Service Level requirements. Hana experience a plus.
· Experience with or demonstrates an understanding of the capabilities and functionality provided by major ERP systems, technical platforms, architectural patterns, data center infrastructure components and network infrastructures.
· Demonstrable experience in project management, planning and estimation.
· Deep knowledge of legacy system integration with SAP via Web Services SOAP / REST.
· Extensive experience working with MDM and EAI platforms (WebMethods specifically).
· Good interpersonal skills. Strong verbal, wirtten and presentation skills are a must.
· Candidate must be able and willing to travel up to 25%.

The Global BI Strategy & Solutions Team is responsible for BI/DW solutions in all business areas including Finance, HR, Manufacturing and Supply Chain. The IT Senior BI Analyst is a core member of the team responsible for the requirements, design, delivery and operation of the BI and DW solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Work closely with Business and IT Customer Solution Leads to gather BI/Reporting requirements and provide accurate estimate.
Provide consulting services during the business case development, requirements, planning, design and implementation of BI solutions. Recommend optimal solutions, best practices and process improvements. Develop rapid prototyping to facilitate requirements and design discussions.
Design BI/DW solutions aligned with BI Strategy, Roadmap and Architecture standard. Ensure integration with other projects, systems and processes. Develop functional and technical design documents.
Develop and enhance BI/DW solutions following BI governance processes. This may include Data Modeling, ETL, Query, Dashboard and other advanced analytics.
Provide BI SME in integrated test scenario planning and execution.
Develop training materials and conduct training classes.
Manage assigned activities within time, cost and technical objectives. May manage small to medium size projects with internal or external resources.
Maintain and optimize production systems. Investigate and resolve incidents reported by users. Identify opportunities to automate, consolidate and simplify platform.
Improve BI governance (standards, templates and processes
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or Business
Work Experience:
10 years of relevant experience including 5 years hands-on design and development experience with SAP BW 3.5 and 7.0, or BusinessObjects. Experience with major consulting firms is a plus.
Licenses & Certifications:
SAP BW, BusinessObjects certification preferred
